Honeymoon in Bonita Springs, Florida

Bonita Springs, Florida is a beautiful location for a honeymoon with affordable restaurants in the area. Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort and Spa is gorgeous. They really go out of their way to make it feel like tropical resort you might find in Hawaii or Mexico. They have a water slide when you’re ready to have some fun and a lazy river for when you want to chill. My family and I spent some time at this resort a few years and a great time.

Naples, Florida and Marco Island are both within driving distance of Bonita Springs, so you have choices on where to stay. We just really loved the laid back nature of the city and the great service at the resort.

Now, they’re not on the beach, but they have a ferry that takes you to Big Hickory Island, which is a semi-private beach. That really felt special because they have so many chairs and umbrellas on the island so you never have to fight for one. We saw a school of nurse sharks, which scared the daylights out of my son, and dolphins swam right in front of us. I would go back to this resort in a heartbeat.

The Hyatt is a destination for honeymooners, couples and families. They’re also a popular spot for weddings, you’ll probably catch a bride or two on your visit. If you can’t travel to some exotic location but you still want to have an awesome honeymoon, you might want to give this place a try. Flights to Fort Meyers, FL are very cheap in the summer and the hotel rates are somewhat affordable during that time, as well. Enjoy.
